Career & Experience
Kieran is an Associate in the EPIC team. He acts for developer and investor clients in the renewable energy sector – particularly around solar, battery storage and onshore wind.
Kieran has worked on a variety of complex and substantial renewable energy projects, as well as advising well known renewables clients on the property aspects of large-scale DCO projects.
Kieran assists developers across all project milestones, from securing the land options through to negotiating cable easements for projects in the construction phase. Kieran offers commercial and collaborative legal advice to his clients and understands the importance of client care in order to appreciate the client’s aims.
Outside of work, Kieran enjoys keeping active with his young family and when time allows, can be found on the golf course (trying to avoid the bunker).
Work highlights
- Instructed by an international developer on the substantial and complex due diligence exercise of a working landed estate of over 1,000 acres for a solar DCO project with a capacity of circa 400MW.
- Advising a well-known renewables provider on their onshore cable route connecting their (approx.) £4bn offshore wind farm into the GB Transmission Network.
- Acting for a developer to secure land rights for various projects across different locations in the UK for uses including solar and battery storage with a view to obtaining large scale energy development finance from a well-known renewables’ investor.
