Foot Anstey advises The Access Group on latest acquisition

The Private Equity team at national law firm, Foot Anstey LLP has supported and advised The Access Group, one of the leading providers of business management software for small and mid-sized organisations in the UK, Ireland, and Asia Pacific, on its latest acquisition of Surrey-based DutySheet Ltd (trading as Assemble and DutySheet).

The acquisition will see DutySheet, a leading provider of cloud-based software for volunteer management, incorporated into The Access Group’s Non-Profit and Education division. The Access Group's software offering will be strengthened by DutySheet's volunteering solution for the charity sector.

The Foot Anstey team included Matt Stoate (Partner), Dominic Cromwell (Senior Associate) and Beth Donnelly (Associate) who advised The Access Group on the core legal aspects of the acquisition. John Pindard (Legal Director) supported on tax matters.

This is the third acquisition in the past 12 months upon which Foot Anstey has supported Access, having previously advised Access on its acquisitions of Legal Bricks, a West Midlands-based customised online property search platform, and Oosha, the integrated cloud IT services provider.

Dominic Cromwell, Senior Associate at Foot Anstey, said: “Access has seen significant growth over the last few years, and we are extremely pleased to have assisted on a number of acquisitions and help play a role in it realising its growth ambitions. Access' innovative approach to its sectors makes it a standout business and we look forward to working with the team again in the future."
