As property development solicitors, we can help you navigate the ever-changing landscape

From traditional residential, through to mixed-use and build to rent, future-proofing your development means having an answer to the question “What’s next?”

The opportunities, and challenges, for developers are many and varied – whether it’s sustainable development, modern methods of construction, smart homes and connectivity, reputation  or mobility.

Modular housing has the potential to transform productivity, sustainability and quality – but also comes with new and varied risks.

Recent experience

Atlas Hive

Acting for a commercial developer and its development partner in its first JV on the sale of its block of purpose-built student accommodation in Bristol. The building comprises 225 rooms and two commercial units. The transaction was complicated by the need to put in place latent defects insurance to bridge a gap in the construction documents created by the termination of the building contract.

Berkeley Group

Advising a national housebuilder and its 20+ operating companies on general employment and HR matters, including ad-hoc HR queries, Covid-19 related advice, project support, the defence of numerous complex tribunal claims, annualised hours contracts for employees in the client’s modular business, the drafting and implementation of new apprenticeship contracts and the strategic management of potential disputes and employee exits.

Coastline Housing

Advising a registered provider on the purchase of land for development for 77 dwellings by way of a sub-sale, including assignment of the benefit of collateral warranties from the consultants acting for the top seller in connection with the planning application.
