Career & Experience
Simone is a Managing Associate in the firm’s Projects, Infrastructure and Construction team. She has 10 years’ experience in construction law, having started her career at a city firm specialising in social housing contentious construction law. Simone then moved to a national firm and harnessed her transactional expertise in non-contentious drafting and negotiating.
She has in-depth experience of the JCT and NEC suites of contracts and has also amended and advised on other standard forms including ICE, ACE, RIBA and FIDIC. Simone prepares and reviews supporting documentation including consultant appointments, sub-contracts, collateral warranties, performance bonds, parent company guarantees and deeds of novation. Simone is also experienced in drafting bespoke construction contracts to suit client needs and uses her contentious experience to draft with likely “pitfalls” in mind so as to minimise contractual disputes.
Simone has a breadth of experience across several sectors including construction, social housing, development finance, energy and data centres. She also works with corporate and property teams to input construction elements into funding agreements, sale contracts, development agreements and other commercial contracts as required.
