Partners

Our Partners are given the autonomy and freedom they need to develop their own practice areas. We are an aspirational, entrepreneurial and innovative firm, proud of what we have achieved. We want our partners to help our clients achieve their ambitions, and help our business continue its successful growth. We have a clear sector strategy, and expect our partners to collaborate across our practice areas to deliver ambitious goals.

In return, you will be invested in and supported to achieve your ambitions. As well as the usual support on client development, and other business support functions, every new partner receives bespoke onboarding and coaching support which is unrivalled in the UK legal industry.

We know how daunting it can be to move firms at Partner level, so we will work with you to ensure your transition is a planned and positive experience. Legal Careers

With our diverse client base, we are able to offer you an interesting and challenging career that will expand your horizons and broaden your skill base. We have clearly defined career frameworks in place that map out our expectations at each stage of your journey, so you can take ownership of the direction you want to move in.

We will develop you into a Business Advisor and will equip you with the tools needed to make this become a reality. Our recently developed Business Skills Academy has been designed with this in mind. This unique programme is far from traditional. From coaching skills sessions, to webinars, to focus groups and business skills, this is an engaging programme that is designed with you in mind.

Training Contracts

At Foot Anstey we recruit talented future solicitors into an environment which provides you with an opportunity to reach your full potential and become an accomplished business advisor to our clients. Throughout your training contract you will spend time in different teams and offices working with a variety of clients within our six key sectors, gaining exposure to different situations whilst collaborating with colleagues who will help you develop your legal and commercial expertise.

Our Training Contracts consist of six seats, enabling you to gain a broad based experience across of a number of practice areas. There will also be opportunities to complete a secondment with one of our clients or to work closely with one key client in our award winning ‘Virtual Trainee’ scheme. We believe in regular, open communication and interaction between our trainees and their supervisors and this is something you will experience every day. You will also have regular contact with our Managing Partner and Training Principle. We pride ourselves on encouraging a work environment that is friendly, professional, collaborative and supportive.

Professional Support

As a firm we value the contribution that every employee makes. Our Professional Support teams are vital to the success of the firm and as we’ve grown, our professional support teams have developed to reflect this.

We offer a range of specialist roles with excellent opportunities for career development. We also offer a broad Apprenticeship programme with the opportunity to gain a qualification in a related discipline, be that in Business Administration, CILEX, Accountancy or IT.
