Our Conveyancing Assistants are a valuable and vital part of the team, providing crucial support to the wider Conveyancing team, supporting their caseloads, and assisting in an administrative capacity.

What you will do

As a Conveyancing Assistant you will support the work of the Conveyancing team, along with general and more complex administration tasks. You will be working closely with our Conveyancers and Legal Administrators to ensure a first-class service is provided. You will be responsible for amending and collating letters with enclosures in line with set deadlines, ensuring sign off as appropriate by the relevant Lawyer, as well as carrying out a number of post-completion tasks with a view to taking on responsibility for deadlines as the role progresses. You will communicate with clients, stakeholders, and third parties, responding to correspondence, calls and emails in a prompt manner. You will work with the Matter Lawyers, Team Manager and others within the wider Real Estate Group where required in a role which allows plenty of room for growth and development onto more complex tasks, if desired.

  • Experience working within Conveyancing/understanding of Conveyancing procedures (this could come from a Legal Admin role in similar team)
  • The passion to learn and grow with Conveyancing
  • Clear, concise, and effective written and verbal communication skills together with great attention to detail, including the capability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Ability to achieve tasks quickly and accurately meeting the needs of the lawyers in the unit to which you have been assigned
  • Commitment to working within a quality standard environment
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to become familiar with new systems quickly
  • The desire to work in an interesting, fast paced, and collaborative environment

About the team

Our Conveyancing Services team spans a multitude of different specialisms. Each team have specific levels of support and technical experience, and each of our Conveyancers take ownership of their caseloads, assisting their clients through the drafting of relevant documents and ensuring compliance to enable housing transactions to go through smoothly – we really strive to get to know our clients and take the responsibility of our instructions seriously. But don’t worry, not only do you get to feel that you’re really making a difference individually to your clients and our business, you will have the backing of a 50 employee + size team to help you along the way.

We are an accredited member of the Conveyancing Quality Scheme and have been appointed to over 60 of the major UK lending panels. Our continued success has led to us receiving accolades such as the best firm in our region at the ESTA Conveyancing awards 2019.

Eligibility to work in the UK

Eligibility to work in the UK will be verified in the final stages of the selection process. All candidates must be able to prove their right to work in the UK, which may include meeting the Home office criteria for Visa sponsorship.
