Your contract specialists

Our commercial contracts team provide support with a broad range of contractual matters, from day to day operational agreements to high value, complex, business critical relationships. We provide risk based, practical advice for businesses across all of our firm’s key sectors, always seeking to understand our client’s goals and objectives and tailoring our advice accordingly.

Our services

Our specialist team can help advise on the following:

We support clients with drafting and enforcing their standard terms and conditions for both business and consumer relationships.

We draft, review and negotiate agreements for organising and hosting events and we support with documentation for venue and equipment hire.

We help clients with agreements for revenue generating marketing activities which help to raise their brand profile.

We advise clients on the outsourcing of their internal non-core functions to third party suppliers, often on a long-term basis, allowing them to reduce labour costs and focus on core business activities, thereby saving time and money and boosting efficiency and productivity.

We have broad experience advising both franchisors and franchisees operating across a range of different sectors in the UK and internationally, with a particular focus on the food and beverage, travel, hospitality and retail sectors. Our clients range from start-ups to large multi-national corporations and we tailor our advice to each client’s business, providing practical and relevant advice.

Why choose Foot Anstey?

At Foot Anstey, we think it’s important that we genuinely get to know our clients’ businesses – that’s how we can deliver value that goes beyond just the monetary.  Getting to know you and collaborating with you allows us to understand the culture and ethos of your organisation and enables us to deliver tailored advice.

BAU/operational support: We provide various clients with overflow support, working alongside their busy in-house teams to pick up day to day matters so that the in-house team can focus on more complex, strategic work. Through this service we advise on a broad range of legal queries such as reviewing commercial contracts, dealing with licence agreement queries & franchise partner queries and supporting with consumer matters including prize draws, refund policies and ad hoc GDPR queries.

Complex projects: We are engaged by clients to draft, review and negotiate business critical contracts which govern key operational or strategic relationships across their supply chain and/or customer base. We draw on our industry knowledge to advise clients on standard contractual protections, risk sharing and performance management tools in order to ensure they have appropriate legal protection in place for all of their significant relationships.

Our people

We know that every client’s strategy and risk appetite is different. Working in partnership with you enables us to deliver actionable and commercial advice which places an emphasis on operational and practical value that fits with your business goals. Many of our lawyers have spent a considerable amount of time working in-house on secondment and they draw on this experience to help build strong interpersonal connections with their clients.
