Jessica (nee Jessica Wearing Evans) is an Associate in the firm’s Energy, Projects, Infrastructure and Construction team. She has significant experience drafting and negotiating all standard forms of JCT construction contracts, as well as ancillary documents such as collateral warranties, consultant appointments, framework agreements, deeds of variation and novation, letters of intent, pre-construction services agreements, and letters of reliance. Jessica also works closely with commercial property and banking and finance colleagues to provide construction due diligence on development and funding agreements. Her clients include developers, social housing providers, later living/retirement living providers, and funders.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys baking, crochet and spending time with her family.

- Drafted and negotiated the construction contract on amended JCT D&B 2016 for £47million retail outlet. This included ensuring flow down of agreement for lease obligations and drafting ancillary documents comprising letters of intent for preliminary works to ensure critical path could continue during final contract negotiations, appointments, novation agreements and deeds of variation for existing appointments.
