Career & Experience

Scott is a Senior associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution team. He has a broad range of complex and high-value high court experience covering all stages of proceedings and alternative dispute resolution. His practice has a particular focus on corporate/shareholder litigation as well as advising clients in the technology, media and telecoms sector.

Work highlights

  • Acting for the defendant to a data protection class action brought by a cohort of thousands of claimants arising in connection with a well-publicised cyber incident;
  • Acting for the majority shareholders of a European distributor of activewear products in relation to an unfair prejudice petition brought under section 994 Companies Act 2006;
  • Advising various clients in relation to letters of request addressed to UK-based witnesses to obtain evidence for use in US proceedings;
  • Advising a private equity backed healthcare company regarding its management of a portfolio of general partnerships;
  • Representing a leading machine-to-machine and Internet of Things connectivity solutions provider in relation to contractual and commercial agency claims;
  • Obtaining injunctive relief for a leading software and cloud-based solutions company; and
  • Assisting a leading battery-grade lithium processing company in relation to a contractual dispute with its M&A adviser over transaction fees.

Outside of work, Scott enjoys gaming, baking and bouldering.
