Foot Anstey's Islamic Finance team members obtain official qualification

Members of our Islamic Finance team, Nick Loewendahl, Karl Bradford, Laura Autiero, Leena Payyappilly, Emily Hendy and Aziz Deen have been studying and revising for Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ).

The IFQ is a level 3 certificate issued by the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and is recognised as the standard qualification for Islamic Finance Practitioners in the Legal, Banking and Accountancy professions.

To facilitate their studying for the exam a 2-day revision course was held in the Bristol office at the end of February 2022 delivered by Faizal Karbani of Simply Ethical.  Faizal had previously delivered revisions sessions to two previous groups of the Islamic Finance team taking the IFQ exam.

The training was also attended by individuals from the private banking and digital banking teams of our key client, Bank of London and the Middle East (BLME).

The attendees from BLME found the training to be very beneficial ahead of their own exam dates in May and it was an alternative networking opportunity to meet with members of the BLME team.

The exam results are now in and we are pleased to report that all six team members have passed the exam and are now holders of the IFQ, bringing a total of 13 team members to hold the qualification.
