Plymouth’s largest social landlord appoints city-born law firm Foot Anstey to advise on much-needed affordable homes

Growing national law firm, Foot Anstey LLP has been appointed to Plymouth Community Homes' (PCH) legal panel to support on an array of development and employment legal matters.

Founded 14 years ago, PCH is Plymouth's largest social housing landlord with over 16,000 properties, providing homes for more than 35,000 people in Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

PCH has appointed the Foot Anstey team to advise on development and employment matters for two lots, to strengthen the housing association’s offering to its current and future residents.

PCH has led the way in terms of building affordable and safe neighbourhoods in the Plymouth region. Our panel appointment comes at an exciting time as the team have had a record-breaking June in terms of land and units acquired for our housing association clients in the South. We are keen to work alongside the PCH team and support its mission to provide homes to those who need it the most.”

Alongside Lara, the Foot Anstey team includes Partners Patrick Wetherall and Philip Brown as well as Managing Associate Rachel Langley. Partner Karen Bates will be leading on employment legal matter advice.

This appointment marks the fifth housing association panel appointment in the past two years for the law firm. In January, the firm announced it had secured a place on the legal panel of Eastlight Homes, which looks after 12,500 social homes in the East of England. At the end of last year the law firm joined the London-based Hyde Group's legal panel. Foot Anstey has also recently secured places on the legal panels of Somerset-based Advantage South West and the Housing Associations' Legal Alliance (HALA), which brings together some of the UK’s leading housing associations.
