Supporting Southampton City Council’s bid for UK City of Culture

We recognise the importance of investing in communities based near our office locations, and the firm is proud of and committed to all the regions we call home.

When the opportunity arose to partner with Southampton City Council and the Bid team charged with bringing City of Culture status 'home' for 2025, we were in no doubt about pledging our support.

We are proud to support this excellent bid as a Patron of the 'Gateway Club' and will be offering our wholehearted commitment to the bid; enabling conversations where we can between businesses, local government, local people and city ambassadors to help make this bid a successful one.

Our Southampton story began quite recently. Within the few years we have been based in the maritime city, the firm has expanded significantly. Our office now hosts over 80 colleagues working across all the firm's sectors and supporting clients from around the globe.

The bid support has been spearheaded by Tim Williamson, Managing Associate in our Commercial Team.

Tim commented: "We have been impressed by the dynamism of the team and their efforts so far. Southampton has so much to offer with its rich and special history, which will provide the inspiration for a bright and prosperous future.

"Its maritime heritage and present-day infrastructure means future opportunities are exciting and far reaching. Southampton has a particular role to play as the United Kingdom goes out into the world as a modern-day trading nation – building back better, greener and sustainably."
