
The failure of any procurement process is costly for the awarding body and the bidders and can also be a very public embarrassment.
In the adapted words of Oscar Wilde “To lose one procurement process may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose two ....”
Not only is this a cautionary warning to public bodies of the need to procure correctly it also serves to remind bidders that a legal challenge can be a very effective tool to correct things when they go wrong.
