Foot Anstey launches market leading parental leave policy

National law firm Foot Anstey is today launching a market leading and inclusive parental leave policy which provides 6 months full pay to all employees regardless of gender accompanying a suite of wider family support benefits.

National law firm Foot Anstey has today announced it’s expanding its family support package to offer six months full parental leave to all employees regardless of gender.

Enhanced financial support for all employees forms one strand of the firm’s industry leading ‘family forming’ package, designed to support hopeful and expecting families and parents. These benefits include access to reproductive healthcare support from Fertifa, enhanced neonatal support and pay during pregnancy, and lasting support for parents including a ‘Parental Returners Hub’ and 'Back-up care' offering delivered through Bright Horizons.

Foot Anstey’s commitment to supporting families through their ‘family forming’ programme is just one of several new and enhanced policies that aim to place the firm in a strong position to attract and retain talented individuals who are able to support the firm's ambitious growth plans.

The firm is also launching a new mortgage support benefit which will provide one-to-one access to independent Mortgage Advisers, helping the firm’s staff tackle the complexities of the mortgage market.

The announcement comes as part of Foot Anstey’s consolidated commitment to responsible business which forms a key part of the firm's strategic growth agenda and which has seen the firm commit at least 1% of their net profit to responsible business causes. Earlier this year, the firm announced its strategic partnership with Young Enterprise, a charity that equips young people from a variety of backgrounds with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to thrive in the working world and beyond.

Richard Turner, Group Management Accountant at Foot Anstey, is set to be among the first to benefit from the updated equal family support package.

Richard Turner says: “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to take six months of enhanced paternity leave. It means the world to have this precious time to bond with our new baby, support my partner, and be fully present for these first moments as a family."

Kerri O’Driscoll, Head of Reward and People Delivery at Foot Anstey, comments: “Giving our people time and financial security to support their families through early development stages is a vital step towards achieving greater equality in caregiving responsibilities. We know that supporting our people through different life stages allows them to achieve their full potential.”

Felix Hebblethwaite, Chief People Officer at Foot Anstey, says: “Offering all our people six months of fully paid parental leave reflects our steadfast belief that hard work should be matched by industry leading benefits. Today’s announcement is just one development in the firm’s long history of backing our people. 2025 has been an exciting year for the firm’s growth, which has gone hand in hand with levelling up the support we provide for our workforce.”
