Foot Anstey's Real Estate Group has advised Burrington Estates on its latest acquisition in the South West in the village of Trispen on the outskirts of Truro as the house builder continues its expansion across the region. The fast growing business currently has six new build developments confirmed this year with two sites in Truro, Exeter and Plymouth which will see 250 new homes brought to the market in the South West over the next 12 months.

The 9-acre site includes 85 high quality homes sensitively designed to suit the character of the local area with a mixture of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes close to a full range of amenities. The homes are offered on both an open market and affordable housing element reflecting the need of the local community. Burrington has worked closely with DCH, St Erme Parish Council and Cornwall County Council to ensure this scheme meets local designs and requirements. With construction due to start this month, the new homes will be available to purchase from November.

Gareth Jones, Development Director at DCH, said: “We are delighted to be working with Burrington Estates on this exciting development that will bring much needed affordable homes to this part of Cornwall.  Our twenty-six homes will be a mix of eight for shared ownership and 18 for affordable rent for residents with a local connection to the parish. We have already worked successfully with Burrington Estates on a fantastic scheme on the outskirts of Exeter and we are looking forward to working with them again to help deliver much needed homes in Trispen.”

We pride ourselves on delivering high quality homes and as a local developer we work with many local stakeholders to achieve this. We are looking forward to delivering a collection of distinctive new homes to meet the current housing demand in Truro.

Colin Palmer, Managing Director of Burrington Estates

Nicholas Burt, Senior Associate within the firm's Real Estate Group was the lead fee earner acting on transaction. Nicholas said: "We're delighted to have acted on this transaction which will hopefully assist with the shortage of good quality homes, and make a lasting contribution to the landscape and to the communities our client is helping to create. Trispen is a remarkable site in a unique setting and Burrington will no doubt do a great job in generating long-term value by creating a successful and sustainable living environment."

Foot Anstey's was recently named as Property Law Firm of the Year at the Insider South West Property Awards 2017.
