Colin is a Solicitor in our Clean Energy team, working across a range of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters in the energy sector. Colin has degrees in Physics and Mechanical Engineering alongside his legal qualifications and maintains a keen interest in the technical aspects of renewable energy projects, affording him a greater understanding of the business and challenges facing his clients.
Colin has experience with the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from early development stages through to operation, maintenance, and decommissioning, including M&A, funding and commercial documentation. He has drafted and negotiated share purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, development services agreements and power purchase agreements, and advised clients on a variety of regulatory matters including contracts for difference, generation, distribution and supply licences, feed in tariffs and grid connections.
Our Energy team works across a range of technologies, and Colin’s recent experience includes ground mounted and rooftop PV, battery storage, wind, hydrogen and nuclear.
