Supporting Lowri’s home-buying journey with our free mortgage advice benefit

Lowri Jones, People Delivery Advisor

Buying a home is a major milestone, but for many people, it can feel overwhelming. With rising house prices, affordability checks and a fast-moving mortgage market, the path to home ownership can be complex and unpredictable.

Our People Delivery Advisor, Lowri Jones, recently bought her first home. But, like many first-time buyers, she wasn’t sure where to begin.

In perfect timing, her journey was made easier with the launch of our firm's mortgage benefit. At Foot Anstey, we want to support our people beyond the workplace – which is why we offer free mortgage advice through Charles Cameron & Associates, one of the UK's leading mortgage brokers.

"As a first-time buyer, I thought it sounded like a great way to get expert advice without any extra cost. I had so many questions and didn’t know where to start!"

Making milestones manageable

When we launched the mortgage benefit, Lowri attended an introductory webinar delivered by Charles Cameron & Associates, which helped her see that home ownership could be a real possibility. From there, she and her partner booked a video call with a dedicated adviser to explore the journey step by step.

"Our advisor explained everything clearly, from affordability checks to what documents I’d need during the process."

Throughout the process, they had follow‑up calls, regular email support and an administrator to help keep everything moving through a secure document portal. Once their mortgage was approved, their adviser walked them through the paperwork so they felt confident about every detail.

Extending support beyond the workplace

As well as supporting homebuyers, the service offers guidance around remortgaging and buy‑to‑let arrangements, plus referrals for life insurance. All of these options are also available to our people’s friends and family at no cost – extending the support beyond our firm.

Lowri commented: "It’s free, easy to access, and you can refer friends and family for the same service. I’m beyond grateful for such an easy experience buying my first house!"

We recognise that personal wellbeing is closely connected to the wellbeing of those around you, which is why several of our benefits, including this one, can be shared.

Our commitment to financial wellbeing

Lowri’s experience shows how empowering it can be to have the right guidance at the right time. Buying a home comes with both logistical and emotional challenges – from dense paperwork to financial unknowns and the pressure of making a major long‑term investment. The support we were able to offer Lowri during that time is just one example of the people-focused culture we’re building at Foot Anstey.

Our mortgage benefit is part of a wider commitment to financial wellbeing, designed to give our people access to meaningful, practical benefits that genuinely make life easier. Alongside our family, lifestyle and health benefits, it’s one of the ways we aim to offer our people holistic support.
