Foot Anstey reports 12% profit increase as growth strategy continues to deliver
National law firm Foot Anstey announces a year of strong financial performance for FY 25/26, with a 12% profit increase to £18.05m. The increase underlines the success of the firm’s continued investment in its brand and sector specialisms, cementing Foot Anstey’s position as a leading national firm for the mid-market.
Against a challenging macroeconomic backdrop, where demand for legal expertise has been mixed, the firm delivered a turnover increase of 7% on prior year to £82m, up from £76.9m in FY 24/25. The results follow a period of sustained growth with revenue up 53% over the last five years.
Particularly strong results came from corporate and commercial, finance, employment, dispute resolution, charities and real estate. The firm was pleased to continue working with existing national clients including Delinian, August Equity, Bank of London and Middle East (BLME) and the National Trust, while winning new clients in dispute resolution, financing and M&A, private equity portfolio entities and charities.
The firm's associated clinical negligence, personal injury and mental capacity firm, Enable Law, also performed well and, one year on, Foot Anstey's tie-up with Belfast-based McKees saw strong revenue growth, combining McKees’ 138-year legacy in Northern Ireland with Foot Anstey’s national reach and multi-jurisdictional expertise.
Commenting on the results, Managing Partner Martin Hirst, said:
