Foot Anstey advises Hanover Investors on Llanelec Precision Engineering acquisition

National law firm Foot Anstey has advised alternative investment firm, Hanover Investors, on its acquisition of Llanelec Precision Engineering – a leading manufacturer of precision-machined components for the defence and aerospace sectors.

The Foot Anstey team was led by Principal Director Dominic Cromwell with support from Principal Director Karl Bradford, Associate Chloe-Ann Roberts-Hawkey, Associate Beth Barrow and Partner Nathalie Ingles.

The team advised Hanover alongside Wilkie Farr & Gallagher, providing legal due diligence, National Security and Investment (NSI) advice and broader transaction support.

Hanover will be partnering with the existing CEO, Spencer John, to support his ambitious growth plans for the business.

Dominic commented: “It was a pleasure to support Hanover on this strategic acquisition. Llanelec’s specialist capabilities in the defence and aerospace sectors represent a strong addition to the portfolio."

Joshua Kerry, Associate Director at Hanover Investors commented: "We believe that this investment provides Llanelec with a strong platform for growth and continued strategic development. We enjoyed working with Foot Anstey on this transaction. Their team provided us with a high level of support, strategic advice and insight from start to finish."

Founded in 1984, Llanelec has established itself as a specialist in the manufacture of integral parts for military vehicles serving the UK Ministry of Defence and its procurement partners. The company also provides high-precision titanium billets and components for the aerospace industry. Llanelec operates from a state-of-the-art, 120,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Neath, Wales.
