Virtual work experience

Are you in Year 11, 12 or 13 and curious about a career in law? Our interactive Virtual Work Experience Series is designed to give you a genuine insight into the legal profession and what it's like to work in a leading UK law firm. Across three engaging sessions, you'll explore the different routes into law, discover a range of legal practice areas and develop your commercial awareness skills. You'll also receive practical advice on applications and employability, helping you build confidence and showcase your strengths, whether you're applying for an apprenticeship, university or even a part-time job. If you're interested in a career in law, or simply want to explore your future options, this programme will help you gain valuable insights, develop key skills and make informed decisions about your next steps. How else can you experience Foot Anstey?

We work with West of England Legal Early Careers Network (WLECN). This network aims to provide work experience opportunities to school age individuals. Their year 10 work experience programme runs in July, giving participants the opportunity to experience a number of firms and build important skills.

We take part in their year 10 programme, hosting a full day in our office so individuals get a flavour of Foot Anstey. Keep an eye on WLECN’s LinkedIn page for further information and the details of the summer 2027 programme.

Designed for University students, our vacation schemes are a fantastic way to experience life at Foot Anstey for yourself, and to see the work, the career and the life you could have here. During your vacation scheme, you will have the opportunity to work on live cases to understand the work you would be doing as a trainee. At the end of the week, you will join and take part in an assessment centre day and, if successful, you will be offered a training contract. Plus, we support with your travel and accommodation costs, in addition to paying you for your week of hard work.
