Training contracts

Our training contracts are designed to give you a high-quality experience and exposure to high-calibre work, within our seven key sectors. Across four seats, you’ll make an immediate impact guided and supervised by colleagues who are passionate and supportive experts. You’ll also gain early client exposure, through our unique Virtual Trainee Programme and client secondment opportunities. You’ll benefit from working closely with partners and other expert colleagues, as well as from regular check-ins with our dedicated Early Careers team.

  • Online assessment window: Tuesday 3 March 2026 – Thursday 2 April 2026
  • Training contract assessment day: June 2026

Vacation schemes

Completing a vacation scheme at Foot Anstey provides you with the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the firm, practical experience, and professional skills development. We have two vacation schemes you can apply for: our Achieve vacation scheme and our Aspire vacation scheme. Get involved with interesting work across our sectors and discover what training at a dynamic firm is like!

  • Online assessment window: Monday 5 January 2026 – Monday 2 February 2026
  • Programme dates: April 2026 (Achieve) and June 2026 (Aspire)

Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is a great route into a law firm, with the training, resources and support to help you kick-start your career. There’s a huge range of possibilities for school leavers, post grads and career changers with opportunities in legal and non-legal roles.
