Foot Anstey bolsters ranks with 11 new trainees as applications jump 84%

Top 100 law firm Foot Anstey welcomes an eleven-strong cohort of trainees this month.

The firm saw applications for training contracts soar this year, up 84% on 2018. This followed a concerted recruitment campaign to boost awareness of Foot Anstey's training scheme among aspiring lawyers.

"Foot Anstey has had a consistently high quality training programme for a number of years now," explains Training Principal and board member Martin Hirst. "It's just been a case of communicating that to more graduates so that they understand the value of training with us."

The firm also believes that the quality of work given to trainees is comparable to law firms in the City– even if the hours are not.

"Our trainees get immediate exposure to working directly with clients on high quality deals and disputes, on a par with what you'd get in the City," Hirst adds.

"But they also get the benefits of living in the West Country, and working within an entrepreneurial and agile environment."

Foot Anstey has consistently improved its financial position in the past decade and was ranked last year as the sixth fastest growing law firm in the country.

The firm has eight offices, including in Southampton and London, from which it delivers a full service offering to businesses and high net worth individuals.

Its sister firm Enable Law is also a market leader in clinical negligence, catastrophic injury and mental capacity law.
