Avril McCammon joined the firm in 1990 as a trainee solicitor , having graduated from Queens University Belfast in Law,  and qualified in 1992. Avril became a partner in 1996.

Avril is recognised as a Leader in her field by both Legal 500 and Chambers, in Banking and Finance.. Avril has been acting on secured lending matters for UK, Irish and overseas banks for a period in excess of 30 years. She has represented banks and other financial institutions on all aspects of security documentation and banking law, reviewing, and drafting of facility letters, perfections of security and refinancing, review, and preparation of certificates of title, security reviews, preparation of legal opinions in respect of transactions and is experienced in dealing with lawyers in other jurisdictions relating to completion of banking and other transactions. She also is widely experienced in insolvency matters, and has acted for banks and insolvency practitioners with respect to security reviews, and enforcement of security through administration and receivership.

She is qualified to practice in England & Wales as well as Northern Ireland.

Avril tutors and lectures on Company Law at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and also holds a master’s degree in theology.
