Career & Experience

Kathryn has over 15 years’ of experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law and has worked with employers in the not-for-profit sector, including health organisations, education institutions and charities.

Kathryn is an expert in advising clients on complex employment tribunal cases, including discrimination, equal pay and whistleblowing claims. She has also worked extensively advising clients on outsourcing and transfers of undertakings, her advice ranging from the strategic planning of such transfers through to the drafting of correspondence with trade unions and the transfer agreements.

A work highlight to date has been advising two NHS Trusts on the TUPE and Pensions aspects of setting up a joint venture company to provide IT services to NHS Trusts, (including successfully obtaining Direction Status to the NHS Pension Scheme) ensuring that transferring staff could remain in the NHS Pension scheme ensuring retention of key staff.
