South West Fraud Forum – launch event

This was the launch webinar for the South West Fraud Forum - a newly formed organization aimed at helping regional business to combat fraud.

Date & Time Friday, 12 February 2021

Location Online

We are delighted that partners James Gliddon and Steven Richards are co-chairs of the new South West Fraud Forum.

The South West Fraud Forum (SWFF) has been set up with the aim of increasing the resilience of regional organisations – in both the private and public sector - to the threats posed by fraud.

Run as a collaboration between professional advisors, industry members, the Police and other governmental agencies, the objective of the Forum is simple: to promote fraud awareness, to allow members to understand how best to mitigate against the risks involved, and to increase knowledge of how to respond effectively to fraud if and when it occurs.

The launch webinar took place on 2 December, where the SWFF provided an overview of the objectives of the forum, highlighted the benefits that it can offer to your business, and presented key note messages from our panellists:

  • Mark Shelford, Police and Crime Commissioner for Avon & Somerset and the national lead for Economic and Cyber Crime
  • Malindi Myers, Bank of England Agent for the South West
  • Paul Carroll, Fraud Investigations and Intelligence Manager at TSB Bank
