Foot Anstey joins Law Beats Cancer to support life-saving research

Foot Anstey is proud to support Law Beats Cancer, a profession-wide initiative helping to fund and accelerate life-saving cancer research through Cancer Research UK.

Launched in 2026, Law Beats Cancer mobilises solicitors, barristers, in-house legal teams and other legal sector organisations, harnessing the profession's collective influence through events, challenges, networking and thought leadership to support cancer research.

It's a cause that touches many lives. Nearly one in two people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime, yet decades of research have transformed outcomes, with cancer survival in the UK having doubled over the last 50 years. Continued investment in research is critical to driving the next generation of breakthroughs in prevention, early diagnosis and treatment.

Law Beats Cancer is building a community across the legal sector, encouraging organisations and individuals to share ideas, forge connections and work together in support of a common cause.

Creating positive social impact is central to Foot Anstey's responsible business approach and embedded in our values. We're proud to stand alongside organisations across the sector to improve outcomes for people affected by cancer, now and in the future.

Anna Philips, Partner at Foot Anstey, said 'I am very pleased and proud that Foot Anstey has stepped up, joining the founder firms in encouraging the legal sector to come together to support Law Beats Cancer. Cancer touches so many lives and the power of sector collaboration can make a real difference to changing, not just outcomes, but potentially to preventing some cancers altogether in the future.'
