In the third episode of our new series, our experts explore fraud from an employer's perspective, discussing the importance of identifying the potential risks and where it may occur.
Partner & Head of Employment, Karen Bates is joined by Partner & Head of Fraud, Steven Richards, and Senior Associate, Natalie Painter to discuss the importance of identifying risks and where potential fraud may occur to prevent it even taking place. In doing so, they consider the warning signs to look out for and how to help employees report fraud to their employer.
In addition, Steven explains the new legislation placing obligations on employers in relation to workplace fraud and the failure to prevent fraud. Our experts also discuss the steps employers should take upon discovering fraud in the workplace including whether, and how, the police should be involved and the specific employment law obligations that need to be considered.
