Debbie Asquith

Debbie is a Managing Associate at the firm and a member of the agricultural and rural property team. She focuses on rural transactional property work including sales and purchases of farms and rural land, re-organisations, grants of easements, agricultural tenancies and commercial tenancies for rural properties.

Debbie initially qualified as a banking lawyer and spent the first half of her career working on corporate banking transactions. She has extensive experience of secured lending work in the agricultural sector and over the last 10 years has acted for various lenders on a wide range of transactions in the agricultural sector, including financing landed estate sector. Debbie’s combined experience of banking and property law makes her perfectly placed to understand the issues and challenges relevant to lenders and borrowers in the sector.

Outside of work Debbie enjoys reading, cooking and playing netball.
