Tom Kershaw is a Partner in the firm’s Manchester office. He advises retail and consumer businesses on the full spectrum of commercial, consumer regulatory and corporate governance issues, helping them navigate this complex and constantly evolving landscape with clarity and confidence.
Tom has a unique and deep expertise in the retail sector. Prior to joining Foot Anstey, Tom spent over a decade as General Counsel and Company Secretary for Boohoo Group – one of the UK’s fastest growing listed online retailers. Tom advised the co-founders, management teams and the board on a whole range of corporate and commercial matters as the business enjoyed significant growth in the UK and internationally.
Having spent large parts of his career working for businesses, Tom is well aware of what matters to founders, board and management teams alike. His focus is on providing clients straightforward, responsive and commercial advice in a calm and focused manner.
Tom has developed specialist expertise in ESG, corporate governance and corporate reputation management. He works closely with boards and company founders and is especially adept at helping high profile businesses and high net worth individuals respond in crisis scenarios, develop ESG strategies, build out improvement plans and assess, manage and mitigate risk.
When not advising clients, you’ll find Tom running Lake District trails with his partner Alex and their dog Ollie – or cooking up something delicious inspired by their latest travels.
