Financial Consumer Credit
We regularly advise a range of firms whose core business is not consumer credit lending on how to structure loan arrangements to avoid the remit of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 where possible.
We can also provide regulated agreements and associated advice on pre- and post-contractual procedures for firms who wish to provide loans under the CCA.
Consumer Credit issues
We advised two training providers on consumer credit issues, enabling one provider to restructure their arrangements to fall outside the Consumer Credit Act and the other to simplify and update their credit agreements to comply with the new legislation from February 2011 designed to ensure compliance with the consumer credit directive.
This will allow both companies to deal with their obligations in the most straightforward way possible and mitigate any future CCA compliance risk.
