LICENSING AND EVENT REGULATION

BRISTOL CITY FOOTBALL CLUB

Foot Anstey has advised on all aspects of the Licensing Act 2003, its gambling track betting licence and has provided legal advice and safety advisory group representation on a number of 24,000 capacity concerts. Most recently, the team have successfully negotiated 2 additional match-day cider bars for the club, and applied for a variation to the stadium's premises license to authorise additional match day sales.

LICENSING AND EVENT REGULATION

UNIVERSITY OF BRISTOL STUDENTS UNION (UBU)

As part of a £26million refurbishment and redevelopment of its building at Queens' Road, UBU required substantial Licensing Act 2003 advice on a new application, in Clifton's notoriously tricky Cumulative Impact Zone. The changes to the building were so substantial that we advised that a new premises licence was necessary. The licence is multi-faceted, and also covers a well-known 1200 capacity live music venue, the Anson Rooms, as well as cafes and bars, rehearsal rooms, theatres and function space.

The team have also advised on events contracts and insurance issues, as well as developing revised venue hire arrangements and a new noise management strategy.
