Natalie is a solicitor in the Intellectual Property team, who works on both contentious and non-contentious IP matters. Her work, in particular, includes resolving intellectual property disputes pre-action and, where necessary, representing clients in civil proceedings in the High Court and Intellectual Property Enterprise Court in both bringing and defending intellectual property claims in relation to trade marks, copyright, patents, and design rights. Natalie also assists in prosecuting trade marks and designs and managing clients’ trade mark portfolios. With respect to non-contentious matters, she works in conjunction with our corporate team to carry out due diligences and verification searches and also drafts a range of agreements including assignments and licences.
Natalie as a trainee previously completed seats in the commercial team and with Enable Law's clinical negligence team. During her seat with Enable Law, Natalie gained experience working on a variety of clinical negligence and personal injury matters. Natalie has also previously completed a seat in the property litigation teams.
Natalie studied Law and Criminal Justice at De Montfort University in Leicester, achieving a First Class Honours degree and an award for the best performance on her degree programme. Alongside her studies, Natalie was secretary of and competed, on her university's equestrian team.
Following graduation, Natalie worked at Foot Anstey in the new homes team as a conveyancer. Having secured a training contract with the firm, Natalie went on to study the LPC at the University of Law in Bristol along with a Masters in Law, Business and Management, achieving a Distinction. Natalie's dissertation focused on Law Firm IPOs.
