Leena completed her training contract with Foot Anstey, having undertaken seats in Islamic Finance, Corporate, Charity and Trust Law, Mental Capacity and Commercial Property (Agriculture).
Leena read law at the University of Warwick, obtaining a 2:1 degree. While studying, she involved herself in various projects that led her to advise Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council on its relationship with the voluntary sector.
Following graduation, Leena undertook the LPC at the University of Law in Bristol, achieving a Distinction grade. In the meantime, Leena worked for the Citizens Advice Bureau and also worked closely with a local charity guiding them on data protection laws.
For the past year, as part of the firm's virtual trainee programme, she has been closely advising Save the Children UK with various legal matters ranging from commercial contracts, copyright infringements, charity law, employment issues and reputational risks.
