Jamie Kelly is a member of the Dispute Resolution team. He specialises in commercial and financial disputes, professional negligence claims, corporate debt recovery and corporate breakdown. Jamie has acted for clients in County Court and High Court claims, and in arbitral proceedings.
Jamie trained and qualified as a solicitor at Foot Anstey LLP, having undertaken seats in the firm's Commercial, Real Estate, Employment, Corporate and Dispute Resolution teams. During his training, Jamie assisted with a multimillion pound disposal of commercial real estate for a FTSE 250 company, acted for a multinational legal insurance provider in an employment tribunal and assisted in securing an interim injunction in the High Court.
Jamie has particular experience in financial services disputes and acts for financial institutions, corporates and private individuals on a wide range of financial services matters. In particular, Jamie assists with complaints to the Financial Ombudsman Service and has been involved in High Court judicial review claims against the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Jamie also has experience in interest rate hedging product mis-selling claims, pursuant to the Financial Conduct Authority mandated interest rate hedging product review. In this regard, Jamie has acted in a complex multimillion pound consequential loss claim involving multiple claimants and advised upon the relevant application of the sales review principles of the IRHP review.
Jamie holds a degree in law from the University of Nottingham.
