Richard is an employment partner. He supports clients with their people issues and strategies assisting them to get the best out of their workforces and achieve their associated business goals. He works primarily with clients in the media and technology sectors (with strong experience in additional sector areas).
He understands the fast paced and innovative environment that the firm's clients operate in and their need to motivate, retain and develop skilled and entrepreneurial employees and to be agile and adapt to rapid change.
Richard helps clients to achieve their strategic people goals, for example through designing and managing complex change management programmes, providing guidance through integration processes following acquisitions, drafting and negotiating bespoke employment protections in commercial documentation and supporting throughout collective consultation exercises. The focus is always on pro-actively reducing legal problems in a commercial way rather than simply reacting to them.
