Terence Dickens

Career and experience

Terence is a Legal Director in our Commercial Litigation team and is also a key member of our retail financial services team.

He is a specialist in financial services disputes – including contentious regulatory and fraud matters. In this context, he frequently deals with: thematic mis-selling issues; pension maladministration and other pension related claims (including in connection with pension transfer advice) before the Courts, the FOS, the FSCS and the POS as well as FCA investigations and disciplinary proceedings. He also advises on insurance coverage disputes and in respect of restrictive covenant and breach of confidentiality issues arising upon the exit of senior personnel/advisors.

As a senior member of our procurement team, Terence also has considerable experience of advising on procurement disputes, having acted on behalf of both contracting authorities and bidders in the context of significant and high profile procurement challenges.

More generally, Terence advises businesses on risk, including in respect of anti-bribery and corruption measures, dispute avoidance and contract management.

Outside of work, Terence is a keen football fan (and not quite ready to hang up his boots) and also enjoys running (not just after his young children).”
