Career & Experience

Mark has a wealth of experience acting for national, regional and local housebuilders and housing associations as well as landowners on all aspects of residential development.

He primarily advises on site acquisitions (whether strategic options or conditional or unconditional contracts), land promotion agreements and infrastructure agreements for highways and utilities.

For housing associations this includes whole site acquisitions on land-led schemes, plot acquisitions on either a golden brick or turnkey basis and associated development agreements as well as nomination agreements with councils for tenant occupations of plots.

He understands the affordable housing and wider development sectors which enables him to provide clients with proactive, pragmatic and commercial advice which achieves the balance between client’s key objectives and protecting their interests.

Mark has a keen interest in the affordable housing and wider development sectors and regularly attends as a representative of Foot Anstey sector stakeholder groups including The Housing Forum, Chartered Institute of House (CIH) and the Home Builders Federation and regional property networking groups such as Young Entrepreneurs in Property (YEP) and the Southampton Property Association.

Outside of work Mark enjoys all manner of sport (mainly football and cricket), and also likes spending time outdoors (usually on long dog walks!).
