Career & Experience

Georgina works on a wide variety of commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals and landlord and tenant related matters. She also has experience of managing large property portfolios for landowners, advising and dealing with GPs in refinancing, property disposals and leases, and advising a higher education institution on a wide range of property related matters.

Georgina has strong expertise in health-related property work, having advised a large number of NHS Trusts and other public sector bodies in relation to their property transactions, particularly in relation to NHS Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) projects. She has acted for numerous NHS Trusts on a number of significant public-private joint LIFT ventures advising on the various property elements of the transactions as well as the overall project management of the deal to completion.

A recent career highlight for Georgina has been negotiating and completing the sale and leaseback of various parts of a hospital site for an NHS Trust. This involved complicated buy back and lease renewal options in a tight three week timeframe in order to meet  the NHS financial year end. By understanding the needs and objectives of the client, Georgina was able to identify what was required in order to deliver a positive outcome helping raise in excess of £25M in funds  to be used towards the development of hospital facilities.

In her spare time, Georgina enjoys exploring Devon with her two young children and large extended family, as well as going to concerts and theatre performances.
