The high quality training provided by the Foot Anstey Group to its employees has been recognised and accredited by STEP's Employer Partnership Programme (EPP). The EPP provides a set of quality standards that can be used to assess the Firm's learning and development provision.
It also provides a kite-mark within the wealth advisory industry to recognise the professional development offered by the Firm.
STEP is the global professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning. STEP works to improve public understanding of the issues families face in this area and promotes education and high professional standards among its members.
The 'Platinum Employer Partner' accreditation - the highest awarded by STEP – highlights the importance that Foot Anstey, as a top 100 firm, gives to training.
Several of these initiatives are led by Patricia Wass TEP, consultant with Enable Law (part of the Foot Anstey Group), and Worldwide Chair of STEP. Patricia was elected for a second term this year to continue her global leadership as Chair of the STEP Worldwide Board, where she oversees major projects for STEP’s 20,000 members (including lawyers, accountants and other trust and estate specialists) across 95 countries.
The team is part of Foot Anstey’s Private Wealth Group, a collective of over 40 lawyers who specialise in advising private individuals, trustees, business owners and farmers on wills, trusts, estate and tax planning, estate administration and mental capacity issues.
Susie Halliday, executive director – learning and development, Foot Anstey, said, "Accomplishing STEP's Platinum EPP accreditation publicises to the wealth planning industry the Firm's commitment to staff. Supporting the knowledge and personal development of our people is key to the firm's strategy and helps to provide the best service to clients. As one of the largest Firms in the South West, this achievement will provide the Firm with the platform for further growth and talent investment throughout the whole of the Foot Anstey Group."
Foot Anstey was presented with the accreditation award at its Plymouth office this month, by STEP's programme manager, Laura Keith. Laura said, "I am delighted to welcome Foot Anstey to the programme. It has been a pleasure hearing about the multiple opportunities for development across the entire Foot Anstey Group and the supportive and encouraging environment within which you operate. Well done!"
