Ceri-Ann Taylor, an associate and specialist in the field of clinical negligence at premier national law firm Foot Anstey, has been awarded an accreditation from the Law Society, the representative body for solicitors in England and Wales.
Accreditations are awarded to practices and individuals and promote the highest professional standards and the rule of law. Ceri Ann was awarded an individual accreditation, which recognises competency and expertise in the area of clinical negligence law. It goes above and beyond law obligations and sets a higher standard for quality of work.
The clinical negligence accreditation covers all work undertaken by solicitors and suitably qualified Fellows and members of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX), arising out of any act of negligence, breach of contract and/or statutory duty, as a result of which the victim has sustained injuries in the course of medical or dental care.
To gain her accreditation Ceri-Ann showed, to the satisfaction of the Law Society, that she has and will maintain a high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of clinical negligence. She has personally been conducting clinical negligence cases for claimants for 6 years prior to applying for the accreditation scheme, which enabled her to demonstrate the necessary expertise.
With Ceri-Ann Taylor gaining her accreditation, this brings the total number of accredited team members up to 10. The depth in numbers underlines the firm's commitment to ensuring vulnerable clients have access to the highest quality of advice and service.
Robert Antrobus, partner and head of the clinical negligence group said: "Ceri-Ann's achievement is further evidence of the high standards and expertise in our team. It demonstrates adherence to a best practice quality mark that our clients can trust. It also demonstrates expertise to clients, helping them to make an informed decision."
