Premier regional law firm Foot Anstey has advised Axminster Tools & Machinery on its latest new store in Cardiff, the eighth in the Axminster chain.
Senior Associate Nicholas Burt advised the South West based retailer on its 12,000 square feet of space at the Valegate Retail Park in Cardiff, the first based in Wales. This adds to the company’s presence in the West Country, Home Counties, Midlands, North West and North East. The store aims to be open by the end of November and ready for the Christmas trade.
The Cardiff store is the most recent of many in the ambitious expansion plans held by the business. In the immediate future, the company is planning to open four more stores.
Managing Director Ian Styles said: "This is an exciting development. The Cardiff store will have some of the new concepts we have recently introduced into our other new stores. The store will allow us to have approximately 10,500 lines on display and available in stock as well as some other features such as the Live Workshop".
Head of Real Estate, Richard Walford said, "Advising Axminster Tools & Machinery on their expansion plans as they take their business forward to an exciting next stage was a great project to be involved with."
Senior Associate Nicholas Burt added, "This is another great acquisition for an established client, who has grown and expanded over the years. It has been my pleasure to work alongside them for several years now and look forward to continuing the long standing relationship."
