Premier regional law firm Foot Anstey has recently advised on the acquisition of a Bodmin site on which over 50 new affordable homes will be developed.
Real Estate specialist Rachel Langley, solicitor advised St Austell-based Ocean Housing on its purchase of a 3.27-acre site on Lostwithiel Road from Prospect Estates, which will see the affordable housing provider build a total of 57 units.
The site, which used to house a factory, has now been demolished and Ocean Housing is hoping to begin building work in April 2016, completing the scheme in 2017. All 57 homes will be designated as affordable.
The development will provide a mix of rented and shared ownership homes as part of a £5million investment from Ocean Housing, with support from Cornwall Council.
Alan Green, Head of Development at St Austell-based Ocean Housing, said: “It’s been good to work with Foot Anstey and Prospect Estates to secure this site. This will be a fantastic opportunity for people of all incomes to get an affordable and new home in a great part of Bodmin. We are looking forward to getting started and creating jobs and training and to play our part in the wider regeneration of the town."
Rachel Langley at Foot Anstey, said: “This is both great news for Bodmin and people seeking affordable housing in the local area. We look forward to continuing our work with Ocean Housing and congratulate them on making a significant investment in the region.”
