The Talent Acquisition Team at Foot Anstey is anticipating another very busy year ahead! Building upon the successes of 2022, we are seeking to recruit an additional experienced Talent Acquisition Advisor to enable us to deliver our plans to further strengthen the alignment between team members and key practice groups within the business, to provide a more proactive service to partners and hiring managers. Joining a dedicated inhouse team led by Talent Acquisition Manager Charlotte Ferguson, you will be based from our Exeter or Bristol office with a blend of home working to meet with business needs. Your focus will be on delivering a proactive and commercially informed resourcing service to the firm, primarily taking responsibility for a combination of qualified lawyer roles and experienced business & legal support positions. Working collaboratively with hiring managers across the business to find timely and appropriate solutions to their resourcing needs, you'll be working to provide tailored support throughout the full lifecycle of a vacancy, from initial requirements scoping and securing the relevant approval, through to recommending resourcing strategy and candidate assessment options, offer negotiation and onboarding. Whilst this is inevitably a demanding and busy role, we are hugely proud of the supportive and welcoming culture within the team and wider firm, where you will be personally and professionally encouraged and supported to do a fantastic job. We care enormously about our work, striving to deliver the best results to our internal and external stakeholders, so this role will suit you perfectly if you share our passion for the highest standards of recruitment, all day, every day!
About You
As an experienced Recruiter, you will be highly motivated to deliver the very best outcomes in every interaction – whether this is with one of our partners or hiring managers, direct candidates or trusted agency partners. You'll appreciate that the quality of your work, your approach and energy, makes the difference with these key stakeholders, and in order to build and develop strong and trusting relationships, you need to fully commit to the role. Being articulate, confident and a natural influencer and negotiator, you relish the opportunity to talk about the roles you are resourcing on behalf of the firm and appreciate the importance of understanding factors affecting the different candidate markets we seek to tap into. You will be naturally energetic whilst ultimately professional, and a strong and effective communicator who knows when to listen as well as to speak and understands the power of direct communications over emails. You will be tasked with taking ownership of roles from the outset and will be expected to get to grips with the specifics of vacancies by asking the right questions in order to convey the key messages to potential candidates and agencies. Equally, you will be adept at writing convincing and insightful advertising copy for use across a range of media. As such, you may have already gained experience in a professional services inhouse Talent Acquisition team, or perhaps feel now is the time to make the move.
About the Team
Our Talent Acquisition Team is strategically aligned in order to support and enable the continued success of the firm through the acquisition of the very best available talent, recruited at the right time at the right level into the right roles. We work closely with HR Business Partner colleagues and the wider HR team to proactively support the firm with every aspect of recruitment, whilst delivering exemplary customer service in every interaction. We are responsive, solutions focussed and commercial in our outlook, confident and innovative in our advice and outward looking in order to secure the very best available talent. We give relevant, well informed and timely advice about market forces, candidate dynamics and talent acquisition trends, and are creative in how we source the best candidates. We seek to provide every candidate and agency we work with, with a positive experience, regardless of outcome, and deliver clear and timely communication with empathy, honesty and integrity.
Our offer to you
In return for your efforts, you can expect considerable scope for personal as well as professional development. We encourage people to engage with our popular and well supported coaching and mentoring programmes, which connect you to people right across the firm and at every level. We create space for mental and physical wellbeing with our weekly Lifestyle Hour, along with 28 days annual leave, private medical insurance (eligibility applies) and a sabbatical you can take every 5 years. As part of this, you can make ongoing or one-off donations to our charitable foundation and access our CSR programme where you can engage with community-based initiatives (as a team, or individually) twice a year, to give something back where you feel it matters.
