Senior Family Lawyer
What you'll do
Two completely new roles have arisen owing to the success of the Family team, and their desire for continued growth with a focus on high quality, high net worth client work. We are seeking experienced Family lawyers to join our successful and highly regarded team, with a blend of office and home working available based around client and business need. This is a superb opportunity for an ambitious and capable senior lawyer to play a key role in the delivery of our growth strategy for Private Wealth in the business, with a focus on Bristol. Our Family team act for High Net Worth individuals on the full spectrum of family law both regionally and nationally and is a key part of the firm's Private Wealth sector, one of six core areas of market focus for the firm.
Joining us as a senior lawyer, you will be leading on developing a new offering to clients in the Bristol region, with strong potential for a route to partnership over time. As such, this is an incredibly exciting opportunity to raise your profile and maximise your existing networks and contacts. Over time, you will be recruiting to increase the junior support in your location, and with our 'one team' approach, you will benefit from considerable support from the outset. Working closely with the existing Family team based in Exeter, our lawyers form part of a wider team of private wealth lawyers and you will be joining an established tax and succession team based in our Bristol and Southampton offices. We also collaborate with our colleagues across the wider Private Wealth Sector including agricultural, mental capacity, dispute resolution and real estate for the benefit of our private clients.
What we're looking for
With extensive recent experience working at a senior level within a Family team, you will be seeking to take the next step in your career, where you can enhance your profile and create new and lasting connections with clients. We're seeking someone who is personally self-motivated and equally able to motivate others, with the enthusiasm and commitment to share knowledge and build capacity across the wider team. In your current work, you will be a strong business developer, able to engage with new clients whilst expanding existing relationships as a trusted business advisor. You do this by readily building trust with your clients, appreciating the importance of supporting them with relevant advice at the right moment. You will have already worked hard to begin building your profile in the region and are positive and active in engaging with a variety of business development opportunities within the region's commercial property network.
You are likely to be supervising and/or supporting the development of junior fee earners in your current role and be positive and approachable in doing so. The recruitment process
