Are you looking for an SIA licensed concierge opportunity in Bristol or Exeter where you can utilise your excellent communication skills in a corporate environment (law firm) with a friendly team? If you already have customer service experience in a business setting, along with some experience of office administration, and a current SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence we are keen to hear from you.

We are currently seeking a professional Front of House Security Concierge officer to provide Client Suite security and safety support in one of the UK’s fastest growing law firms.  We are dedicated to providing an exceptional service to both internal and external clients taking pride in the environments we manage.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have sound judgement, be meticulous, have a high level of attention to detail and be very organised – all pivotal in ensuring an exceptional greeting with a warm and professional demeanour.  You will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, Partners, and employees, working collaboratively with the Business Services team, stepping in to support team members when required. Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the services and procedures, you will be responsible for delivering an end-to-end customer experience.

You will require a flexible approach to working arrangements owing to involvement in a rota system that sometimes requires an ad-hoc approach. Working as part of a busy, friendly unit in a fast-paced environment your hours will be on a rota system between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 (36.25 per week).

Your main responsibilities will also include:

  • Awareness of vulnerable persons and understanding of cultural differences in interactions.
  • Providing concierge duties, including welcoming clients, customers, Partners, and employees, and providing a site induction.
  • Managing access control for staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Carrying out security patrols and Health & Safety checks and monitoring CCTV as required.
  • Prompt response to emergencies, ensuring that the necessary action is taken at the time of the event.
  • Completion of accident, incident and near miss reports.
  • Challenging and handling confrontational situations in a calm, professional and legal manner when required.
  • Monitoring Fire, Security, and Intruder Alarms.
  • Undertaking a range of admin tasks, including meeting room and car park bookings.
  • Meeting room set up & clear down.
  • Assisting with the provision of food and beverage service.
  • Event support.
  • Fire Marshal and First Aider.
  • Occasional out of hours support.

What you will need:

  • An SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence.
  • Previous experience of working in a high-end hospitality or Front of House environment.
  • Experience of working within a professional, corporate security environment.
  • To enjoy dealing with people at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Intermediate IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g., Excel).
  • The ability to work in the Bristol or Exeter office between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday
