We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Clinical Negligence team at Enable Law. Enable Law is part of the Foot Anstey group and is one of the UK’s leading specialist medical negligence, personal injury and mental capacity law firms. Working both remotely and within our friendly Exeter office, you will be joining a  team who really make a difference in their clients' quality of life.

What you'll do

  • Attending and taking notes of meetings as well as attend court/ conference with counsel
  • Drafting relevant documentation and providing legal and administrative support to senior lawyers
  • Carrying out research into quantum, medicine, legislation and case law
  • Assist with business development where appropriate
  • Supporting the team with file management
  • Taking new enquiries over the phone, and dealing with other professionals and clients as required  

What we're looking for

  • Basic knowledge of Clinical Negligence law
  • Experience of dealing with client information with tact and sensitivity, and able to discuss matters with clients in an empathetic manner
  • Highly flexible approach and the ability to work well and flourish in a team environment
  • Excellent all round communication skills including the capability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Excellent IT skills with an in depth knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Great time management and organisational ability
