Are you looking for an opportunity to grow your admin career in an entry level/junior role, with a leading UK law firm?  We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Administrator to join us as a Junior Legal Support Assistant/Secretary in our Commercial team based in either Bristol or Exeter. This is a rapidly growing area of our firm and you can expect plenty of opportunity to learn and develop your 'admin' skill set and to be involved in some interesting and challenging work. What you'll do

If you don't have experience of the following, we can help you learn along the way.  Supporting our Legal Support Assistant on a day-to-day basis across all areas of Commercial law, you will be involved in a variety of interesting tasks including but not limited to the following:

  • General administration and secretarial support tasks
  • Travel and diary management and ensuring the fee earners (legal professionals) have everything required for their meetings
  • Responding to queries from clients and other stakeholders on behalf of your fee earners, ensuring excellent and clear communication at all times
  • Dealing with legal file opening and closing activities
  • Finance and Risk Management – assisting with managing monthly billing procedures, cash collection and credit control processes
  • File management tasks to ensure full compliance with practices including, Lexcel, Code of Conduct, and anti-Money Laundering
  • Producing and amending precedent letters and House-style documents
  • Working and collaborating with a friendly team, in a fast paced environment

What we're looking for

  • Experience of providing admin support 
  • A passion for learning, and the ability to take instruction/support in order to learn everything you need to know about the role of an LSA
  • Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Superb attention to detail and accuracy (verbal, written and numerical)
  • The ability to deal with highly confidential information with tact and sensitivity
  • The desire to work in a fast paced, collaborative and friendly team in a legal environment
