We have an exciting opportunity for a new Events Manager to join us at Foot Anstey. Based out of our Bristol or Exeter office, you will be responsible for planning and developing both our virtual and physical events presence and strategy. Leading on our firm's events programme, you will ensure events are an integrated part of key sector planning and campaign activity and drive best practice. We are looking for a commercially driven and experienced Events Manager who is able to bring new and creative ideas to the table to ensure Foot Anstey's events stand out from other firms. Analytical in your approach, you will strive to continuously develop the firm's offering, also ensuring that our legal teams get a greater return from running our events.   

In this role you will report into Emma Hayward (Head of Client Programmes); our Business Development team supports our sector strategy and is responsible for driving revenue through focused business development activities of which our events presence and activity is a vital component. This role is an integral part of our growing Client Development team, where you will enjoy working closely with our firm's passionate Business Development, Marketing & Communications team and Professional Support teams and also have the opportunity to get involved with the wider team, supporting with broader brand, communication and marketing activity.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the firm's strategic events programme – responsible for planning, managing, and promoting the firm's events in line with our strategic priorities.
  • Advise on how to maximise events as part of sector-led campaigns and activity, working with the wider Client Development team, Client Suite and Sector/Practice teams to deliver these against objectives.
  • Advise on the events process (both on and offline) from conception to delivery, and deliver end-to-end events ensuring that key stakeholders are kept fully informed of progress and that all events are delivered on time, in budget, and in line with commercial objectives.
  • Market and promote events from branding to website, social media, and email communications.
  • Update, manage and maintain online presence of events including Foot Anstey website and intranet listings, and online channels e.g., YouTube and social media.
  • Research and identify opportunities for strategic involvement in external events (e.g., sponsorships and speaker opportunities) to raise firm profile and visibility with clients and targets.
  • Work with our CRM Manager to maximise recording of event activity/analysis and reporting functionality to support wider business development.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience delivering B2B events.
  • A deadline driven, self-starter with high standards exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Tenacious, persuasive and effective problem solver with strong analytical and planning skills.
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding.
  • The ability to create compelling sales collateral, whilst developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • A track record of consistently delivering to targets and objectives.
