If you have a genuine interest and experience in bookkeeping and accounting and finance, then this could be the perfect opportunity.

The Court of Protection is involved when someone is assessed to lack mental capacity to make a decision for themselves. What you'll do

You will play a key role in our continued success; to achieve this you will work with the unit leader and others within the wider mental capacity team to offer support to the client base on all matters related to financial functions. Your work will encompass carrying out weekly bank reconciliations to ensure payments are allocated correctly and to report on cash-flow. You will also be responsible for opening accounts as appropriate in individuals’ names, filling out forms such as direct debits completion, letters to suppliers and ad hoc data entry. Your focus will be ensuring appropriate quality service and compliance for all matters in accordance with agreed standard policies. Ensuring client service is central to everything you do; you will consistently meet KPI and targets alongside other broader objectives as agreed on a quarterly and annual basis as part of the Team plans.

What we're looking for

With proven experience and a genuine understanding in bookkeeping; we are looking for somebody with a flexible and enthusiastic approach seeking an opportunity to pursue a role within a finance team. All-round communication skills: including the capability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members, you will understand the importance of knowledge management and sharing. This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong organisational skills alongside the ability to produce accurate work efficiently. Excellent attention to detail in processing numerical data coupled with exposure to Excel and Word in addition to a good level of Maths is required.

Successful applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment screening process which includes a financial integrity check and a DBS check. If you wish to discuss any issues or questions in connection with this, please do speak in confidence with a member of the Talent Acquisition Team. Contact us at [email protected] and we will come back to you as soon as we can.

In return for your efforts, you can expect considerable scope for personal as well as professional development. We encourage people to engage with our popular and well supported coaching and mentoring programmes, which connect you to people right across the firm and at every level. You can also buy holiday, managing your benefits flexibly using our sophisticated portal to configure your total reward offer according to what you value most.
