We're excited to be recruiting to a completely new opportunity to join our Corporate team, working directly with the Head of Corporate, Matthew Stoate. In this new role, we are seeking someone with a proven track record in operational delivery to manage the relationship with and ensure efficient service provision to 2 key private equity house clients. Ideally you will have legal operational delivery expertise, be an operations manager wanting new challenge in the legal sector or perhaps a lawyer wanting a slightly different career path. Most important to us is the genuine commitment to excellent client service, continuous improvement, and a desire to work as part of an innovative and collaborative team. 

What you'll do
Based out of Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, or Southampton with a blend of home and office working available, you'll be managing a team of (4) paralegals supporting one of the firm's key clients, a private equity house and its portfolio companies. 
Our client is extremely active in corporate acquisitions and disposals space and proactive in managing its large portfolio of companies. Through your team, you will be ensuring delivery of workstreams relating to non-disclosure agreements, loan notes, company secretarial work, annual reviews and our purpose-built technology platform to the client and its portfolio. You'll also be able to draw on the support of the broader corporate team, and wider firm contacts, including the Director of Client Innovation.

You will have the opportunity build and develop the relationship with the client, with encouragement and supervision from Matt. In addition to managing delivery of the relevant workstreams, you will have the opportunity to improve and evolve the team's services and approach through a culture of continuous improvement and you'll work with our client solutions team to make sure the technology solutions supporting service delivery evolve to meet the changing needs of the client. Day to day, you will work closely with the client and their internal teams, working to understand their business goals to advise and support them across the range of corporate work we do for them. Possessing a genuine interest in how their business works will give you the opportunity to build rapport and foster crucial relationships. Working effectively as an extension to the client's internal team, you will invest in understanding their business and the team to effectively support them through the acquisition and disposal cycles, directly and through your team.

What we're looking for
You will be seeking to join a growing and entrepreneurial Corporate team where we take our work, but not ourselves, seriously. With an impressive client list and ambition to continue building new and lasting client relationships, you will play an active role in the continued success and growth of our team. You may be an experienced Legal Ops Manager wanting to work with larger and more complex clients, an Operations Manager from outside of the legal sector looking to move into a professional services environment or a lawyer interested in a different kind of career path wanting to develop a service and bring your broader business skills to play. Ideally, you will have gained experience delivering consistently high-quality services to clients and you will have a passion for continuous improvement. You are motivated to understand the bigger picture for our clients, and keen to play your part in realising their longer-term business ambitions. You possess strong and proven rapport building and communication skills, being skilful in establishing and deepening trusted relationships with clients and generating lasting and significant connections with key client and internal contacts. You are enthusiastic to understand the commercial context of their business and know how to gain confidence to provide the right advice and service at the right moment in alignment with their short-, medium- and longer-term goals.
